Fixing the manager

The South Australian way to convince a group of clients considering Leaderskill Group's 360 Facilitated program:

First you show the group a Leader/Manager Map (a real one, name removed) and you ask them what they would do in such a case. And, of course, you get all the old suggestions about how to "fix" the manager - send them on a training course, offer them redundancy, promote them sideways, upward, downward...

Then you tell them what came out of the team session, the real needs that were identified behind the perceived needs, the actions that both team and manager agreed to, the organizational learning for all involved that came out of it... And all this from a 6-hour process that is in fact learning on-the-job!

Submitted by Phil Schluter, our Regional Consultant in Adelaide, SA. Thank you!
